Data Collection Policy

This Data Collection Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and provides a detailed, transparent account of every category of data the Evolve Beyond AI platform collects, the purpose behind each, and how long it is retained. The platform is operated by Magicks Pty Ltd, trading as Evolve Beyond AI.
Evolve Beyond AI is an extensible platform. Some data categories below apply only when specific extensions are active on your account. Sections that relate to a particular extension are clearly marked. If an extension is not active, the associated data is not collected.
Core Platform

If you purchase a subscription or product, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your transaction (amount, date, subscription status) but we never receive, store, or have access to your full credit card number or bank account details. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance.

We do not use third-party analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or pixel tags.
Extension · Readiness Assessment
The following data is collected only when the Readiness Assessment extension is active on the platform.
During the Readiness Assessment onboarding, you may be asked to provide career information. This data is optional in the sense that you choose what to share, but it enables more relevant results and recommendations.

To ensure you receive relevant communications and product recommendations, we may categorise your account using internal tags based on the career profile information you provide. For example, a user who selects "Technology & IT" as their industry and "Create my own products or services" as a goal may be tagged to receive information about entrepreneurship resources.
What tags are: Internal labels applied to your account based on the career profile data you voluntarily provided. Tags are not visible to other users.
What tags are used for: Sending you relevant product updates, resources, and offers rather than generic communications. You may also be included in audience segments for future Evolve Beyond AI products and services.
Your control: You can update your career profile at any time by retaking the Readiness Assessment. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time, and you can request removal of all tags by contacting us.
Extension · Journal
The following data is collected only when the Journal extension is active on the platform.

AI privacy control: You choose how AI interacts with your journal entries via a three-tier privacy setting: Sacred (AI never sees your entries), On-demand (AI only processes entries when you explicitly ask), or Always (AI may enhance entries automatically). You can change this setting at any time.
Extension · Job Application Helper
The following data is collected only when the Job Application Helper extension is active on the platform.

Privacy protection: We automatically detect and mask personal information in your CV before it is sent to any AI provider. The AI only sees your skills, experience, and qualifications — never your real identity. We show you exactly what was masked before proceeding.
Extension · AI Engine
The following data is collected only when the AI Engine extension is active on the platform.

AI providers: Content processed by AI features is sent to a third-party AI service (currently OpenAI or Anthropic, as configured by the platform administrator). These providers process your content solely to generate responses and do not use it to train their models. Their respective privacy policies govern their handling of this data.
Your control: AI features are entirely opt-in. You choose when to use them, and non-AI features work fully without any data being sent to AI providers. You can also bring your own API key if you prefer your content to be processed under your own agreement with the AI provider.
General
Some extensions allow you to begin using features without creating an account. During a guest session, your responses may be stored temporarily in your browser's local storage. No data is sent to our servers until you create an account. If you close your browser without signing up, your data is not retained by us.
For the avoidance of doubt, we do not collect:
— Sensitive information (racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, sexual orientation)
— Government identifiers (tax file numbers, passport numbers)
— Biometric data
— Location data beyond what is inferred from your IP address
— Data from third-party social media accounts
